Recipe: Tiny House Fried Rice

Tiny House Fried Rice

Ingredients:
Rice
Parsnip
Carrots
Celery
Chicken
Steak
Soy Sauce
Ginger
Onion
3 eggs
Olive Oil
Garlic
 
Directions:

  1. Cook rice according to package directions in a large pot.  When rice is done, drain and allow to cool in a small separate bowl (I cook for one…with enough for a second helping).
  2. Beat eggs. Throw beaten eggs into large pan that rice was just cooked in.  Remove from pan and set to the side to cool.
  3. Turn stove on medium heat.  Put in Olive Oil.  When Olive oil is warmed, toss in onions. Cook until brown.  While that is cooking, I diced parsnips, carrots and celery.  I threw those in the pan with some garlic until garlic was brown.
  4. While those were cooking I diced up the meat and threw the meat in the pan.  I tossed in soy sauce and ginger to taste.
  5. Once the vegetables were a crispy tender, I threw in the rice in the pan.  I added some additional soy sauce and some balsamic vinegar I had on hand.
  6. I chopped up the pre-cooked eggs and added them to the mix in the large pan.
  7. Serve.
