Home Sweet Home

When it comes to my little house, the questions I am asked most frequently are, “How do you like it?”  Truth is, I love it.  ”Is it everything I thought it would be?”  Yes, and then some.  I can say with complete honesty that I love this space more than any space I have ever lived in.

Some evenings, after working or running errands, I come home and make a cup of tea.  While sipping on my tea, I stare lovingly at the interior of my house and have said out loud (more times than I care to admit), “I love you house.”   I’m a total dork, but a happy one.  I need a picture of me, sitting on my little stool drinking tea with a cheese-tastic grin on my face.

I have been living in my house for a little over two months now.   I contracted Abel to build this project almost a year ago.  I was so impatient and excited during the build process.  Poor Abel, had to put up with me checking on the progress constantly.   However, when I would drop by, we would get to chatting for hours as he hopped around excitedly showing me things.  There is a lot of love in this little house  and it shows.  I could not be more pleased.  He is such a fantastic person to work with.

I intend to go through and back date some blog posts to reflect the build process, I know many of you were curious.   A number of people have asked if there are plans for this design.  Alas, there is not.  Abel advised that “[He] can’t produce plans for that design… very few standard building techniques. I’d need to write a lengthy book to go with.”  However, feel free to pop by his site and ask him to build you one.  He plans on updating his website soon, stay tuned kids!

I will be taking some more updated pics of the interior and how I have decorated soon.   If there is anything you’re curious about, feel free to drop me  a comment below.
