It has been a long time since I featured anyone. I have sold a lot of orders through my Etsy shop, and not too many sets close to home. I think this has to do more with the winter season. However, a friend of mine had been talking about getting dreads from me for a long time. Her birthday was quickly arriving and she integrated some dreads into her birthday plan. In light of that, she got a full set made and installed prior to her birthday. Patrick is a mutual friend and agreed to take some photos for us, because he is fabulous like that.

So everyone, meet Kraash. This beautiful blonde started out as an acquaintance, as we have many mutual friends in common (at least 100 or so). However, recently she has been reintroduced into my life and has quickly become a frequent visitor at the homestead here. In light of that, we have gotten to know one another a lot better.

Kraash is a bubbly personality who makes it impossible to not notice her the minute she enters a room. My inner introvert appreciates her effervescence, as it means I have to make less conversation and can just listen in an amused fashion as she tells me about her day. She is quick to smile and recount a funny story. She is thoughtful in an unusual way, by guessing what you might need or want and somehow making that happen magically.

She is an attentive listener and ever-so-helpful. This lady has a very generous heart and her presence tends to be a gift. She is the first person to offer to help in a situation where an extra hand, ear or presence is needed. Though occasionally she makes me look like a slacker with her helpfulness around the house, as she beats me to a task. I never really mind having to help do the dishes less. I know Eowyn deeply appreciates her around the house too.

Kraash is a good drinking buddy. She tends to know when a beer or a glass of wine is needed and manifests one almost every time she is here. Her contagious laugh is a relief after a hard day. She also humors Eowyn and I and our love of cheesy teen dramas (and love of Chuck Bass). She has two young daughters that I adore, that are both clever, inquisitive, and sweet. Her daughters also think I am made of awesome, which leads me to believe that she is raising them fantastically.

Kraash is also very involved in the Convention circuit here. She makes it a point to get involved and volunteer at local conventions such as RustyCon. She is great at event promotions and makes everything sound so dang interesting. If you need to hire someone to promote an event, this lady would be a fabulous choice. I am pretty certain that she knows half of the known world. Her excitement for event promotion is evident whenever you talk to her. She will gush about who the conventions have lined up.

She is also involved in the S.C.A. (Society for Creative Anachronism), a medieval re-enactment group, that I am also a part of. She frequently volunteers at those events too, and is one of the first people to greet me as I come through gate. Usually accompanied by a funny story, a crushing bear hug and a lot of information about the best place to camp is and where I am merchanting. She’s really quite lovely.

I added a few more pictures in the portfolio section. Go ahead and go take a peek. If you would like to order a custom dreadlock kit like Kraash’s, you can check out the listing here.

Also, I know I will get a few inquiries regarding the coat that Ashley is wearing. It’s an ‘Elf Coat’! If you want to get your hands on one, feel free to send Eowyn a message through her Etsy shop.
